Corporate Paralegal
Department: Corporate Team

Salary: £30,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, permanent position
Work Pattern:
Hybrid working, with two to three days per week based in our Bishopsgate office and the remaining days worked remotely, subject to business and team requirements.

Trainee Solicitor (Corporate), Junior Corporate Associate and/or Corporate Associate
About the role
As a Corporate Paralegal, you will provide practical and dependable support to the Corporate Division across client matters, transaction administration, file management, compliance, marketing and business development.
You will work closely with fee earners and the wider operations team, helping matters progress efficiently while developing your understanding of corporate procedures and transactions.
The role offers an opportunity to take ownership of your learning and demonstrate your readiness to progress towards a Trainee Solicitor or Corporate Support Specialist position.
Your key responsibilities
Supporting fee earners and new enquiries
You will:
Provide day-to-day support to corporate fee earners.
Assist with the initial triage of new enquiries.
Manage, organise and respond to communications within the DNA inbox.
Help fee earners maintain an appropriate balance of DNA matters.
Assist with allocating matters and projects across the team.
Supporting matter progression
You will assist with:
Opening new files.
Completing conflict checks and risk assessments.
Billing and compliance processes.
Monitoring matter balances and leads.
Liaising with the operations team regarding the Corporate Division’s requirements.
Arranging calls with clients and third parties.
Helping matters progress through the appropriate stages.
Providing corporate and transaction support
You will provide core corporate support, including:
Light-touch legal drafting.
Preparing general-level due-diligence reports.
Managing documents and ensuring files remain tidy, consistent and properly named.
Providing transaction administration support.
Preparing standard Companies House filings.
Preparing board minutes and resolutions.
Preparing ancillary agreements using approved templates.
Supporting high-level document reviews.
Organising virtual data rooms.
Preparing due-diligence reports.
Coordinating document-signing logistics.
Maintaining completion checklists.
Tracking conditions precedent.
Completing post-completion filings.
Conducting legal and factual research.
Producing clear and structured research notes.
You will ensure that corporate workflows, approved templates and the Adam Benedict Way are followed consistently throughout your work.
Managing files and matter information
You will help ensure that the Corporate Division’s files and matter information remain accurate and up to date.
This will include:
Uploading minutes produced by the AI notetaker to the appropriate file.
Regularly updating each file with the relevant matter stage.
Updating file information following matter balance reviews, including stages such as work to be done or instructions to be sought.
Ensuring the leadership team has a clear and current view of file statuses.
Organising files consistently across the division.
Providing relevant metrics and data to the operations team on a regular basis.
Supporting marketing and non-billable projects
You will contribute to the Corporate Division’s marketing and knowledge-development work by:
Preparing first drafts of blogs.
Producing initial content for the Knowledge Hub.
Helping prepare template packs.
Liaising with Rob regarding priority topics and target areas.
This work will support your own development and learning while reducing the time senior team members need to spend preparing first drafts.
Learning and development
You will take an active role in developing your understanding of different corporate matters and procedures.
You will:
Review closed matters using Vincent.
Create matter checklists and Gantt charts setting out the procedure for each type of file.
Use these resources to develop a stronger understanding of corporate workflows.
Use your learning to help prepare relevant marketing and knowledge-based materials.
Produce accurate and valuable prompts for Vincent to achieve the required outcomes.

The accuracy and quality of your drafting, filings and transaction support.
Promptly responding to triaged matters and role-allocation requirements.
Keeping file data complete, accurate and up to date.
Organising files consistently and in an orderly manner.
Providing accurate metrics and data to the operations team regularly.
Meeting transaction deadlines reliably and on time.
Receiving positive feedback from supervising lawyers and the Corporate Division.
Completing due-diligence and document-management tasks efficiently and consistently.
Following corporate workflows, templates and quality standards.

The knowledge, skills and abilities you will bring or develop
You will already have, or be able to develop quickly:
A strong understanding of corporate procedures, filings and transaction workflows.
Technical confidence using document-management systems and corporate platforms, including Companies House and virtual data rooms.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
The ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
An understanding of the Adam Benedict Way and how it applies to corporate support.
